We’ve been an Institute of Leadership and Management Centre since 2008, and we offer qualifications at levels 3, 5, and 7.
Obtaining these Qualifications
These qualifications involve observation in the workplace along, with a number of assessment methods. Evidence is collected using a portfolio.
You’ll be expected to undertake several detailed assessments to achieve the appropriate Qualification. You’re able to start at any point during the year, depending on the availability of assessors. You’ll need to be in an appropriate job role for the level of qualification you undertake.
Level 3 Leadership and Management
The ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management is perfect for you if you’re a first line manager with a range of responsibilities which include –
- Allocating work to team members/colleagues/ contractors,
- Achieving specific results, managing financial and physical resources
- Decision making.
The qualification aims to give you an opportunity to develop your management performance, become more effective in your role, and progress your career.
You’ll take three mandatory units focusing on planning and allocating work for the team, managing personal development, setting objectives and supporting team members. You’ll then choose from a diverse range of optional units to complete the qualification, tailoring your learning to meet yourindividual and organisational needs.”

Level 5 Leadership and Management
The ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management has been specifically designed for middle managers with a wide span of control and accountability for performance, in particular those with responsibility for determining resource allocation and operational methods in their department or organisation.
As part of this Qualification, you’ll take four mandatory units covering developing and implementing operational plans, working productively, providing leadership and direction, and planning change.
You’ll then choose from a diverse range of optional units to complete the qualification, tailoring their learning to meet their individual and organisational needs.

Level 7 Leadership and Management
The Level 7 Leadership and Management has been designed for senior managers with a high degree of autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals.
The qualification allows you to develop your strategic management skills, providing leadership and coaching to other managers whilst also focusing on organisational performance and strategy.
Learners take three mandatory units covering the development of strategic business plans, the strategic direction and leadership of an organisation and leading change within an organisation.
You’ll then choose from a diverse range of optional units to complete the qualification, tailoring your learning to meet your individual and organisational needs.
