Peer Mentoring Programme
One-to-one support on your way back into work
The Out of Work Peer Mentoring service offers one-to-one support as you find your way back into work, delivered by peer mentors who understand the challenges you’re facing. They can work with you to find the volunteering, training or employment opportunities you need.
We’ll talk with you about your goals, and work with you on a plan to achieve them. We’ll meet you in your community and provide information, advice and guidance in confidence to support you on your way back into work.
Is this for me? It’s for people who have experienced mental health challenges – like anxiety or depression – or who are in recovery from alcohol or substance use.
It’s available if:
- Over 25: You’ve been unemployed for more than 12 months, or are receiving ESA or Universal Credit
- 16 – 24: You’re not in education, employment or training.

Platfform Academi focuses on your goals, strengths and abilities, and provides training and inspiration to overcome the challenges you face, learn the skills you need, and build the confidence you want.
Ready to move on? If you’re over 25 and economically inactive or long-term unemployed, Platfform Academi can work with you to create an individually-tailored programme. This will help you access volunteering, training and employment opportunities.
