Skills and employment
We run a range of projects that develop people’s skills through training, volunteering opportunities, paid work placements and support at work.
Peer Mentoring Programme
We run peer mentoring programmes where mentors who have lived experiences of substance misuse and/or mental health issues share their expertise and knowledge in order to offer advice and guide people who are in similar situations.
Our mentors offer free, confidential support in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr to access training, education, paid employment and support at work.
The service is delivered in partnership with and NewLink Wales and Barod.

Pathways to Employment
Our Pathways to Employment services operates in Caerphilly and focuses on aspirations, strengths, experience and the re-learning or development of new skills.
This project is not only for those looking to get back into work but for people who are looking to develop their skills, connect with people and to feel inspired. We have developed a number of positive relationships with employers and training providers to ensure that we can meet individual needs and support people wherever they need.
We operate within the areas of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Torfaen and can offer support with mental health and wellbeing; as well as support to explore work related opportunities, develop skills, access voluntary opportunities, training and work placements.
